A water infiltration has caused significant damage to the ceiling of my living room. Can I carry out the repair work myself?
You can carry out the repair work yourself. Just ensure that it is accepted by the insurer, who wants the work done professionally. Usually, an expert or inspector from the insurance company is sent to evaluate the extent of the damage and the scale of the work. If you do the repair work yourself, the company reimburses you for the supplies and materials used and also grants you a flat fee for your labor.
My house has been burglarized. What should I do?
